Best music from 2011 (because I couldn’t help but do at least one of these lists)

I’ve been working on a list of my favorite songs of the year and here they are in order from no. 10 to no. 1:

10. Just a kiss – Lady Antebellum

9. Baggage claim – Miranda Lambert

8. Barefoot blue jean night – Jake Owens

7. Honey bee – Blake Shelton

6. You lie – The Band Perry

5. Love don’t run – Steve Holy

4. Brighter than the sun – Colbie Caillat

3. Someone like you – Adele

2. Mr. Know it all – Kelly Clarkson

1. God gave me you – Blake Shelton

It’s been a pretty good year for music actually, I would normally have trouble coming up with 10 really good songs (I’m a little bit picky :))

Address in the stars

This is such a sad song but I can’t help but listen to it over and over, I wish Caitlin and Will would have had a better chance at success (or at least actually released the album)

A music video thats worth actually watching.

I tend to ignore country music videos anymore, why? Because a lot of them are just concert performances or videos where they are just sitting around singing (and maybe they include a few nature scenes) but not very many tell a good story anymore so when I saw “Love don’t run” by Steve Holy, I fell in love with both the song and the video because the story it tells is interesting in both the characters and the settings 🙂 (okay so the plot is predictable but there are multiple layers to the story that all blend well with the song)

New favorite music video/I love ebooks!

I love this song,
I love it so much I could listen to it for hours (come to think of it…. I have ;))

Now on to a completely unrelated topic; today was my lucky day!!!! I won two free ebooks which I will review here in a few weeks, the first one will be Malice by Griffin Hayes and here is a short description:
Something unspeakable is murdering the townspeople of Millingham and only seventeen-year-old Lysander Shore knows what it is. A dark shadow that possesses its victims and forces them into grizzly acts of suicide. Lysander knows because he has seen it and he’s pretty sure it saw him too.

Sound interesting? I think so and can’t wait to get started!!
